hie there, im having a problem with my D-link DWL-G122 wireless usb adapter. i had installed the drivers on the disc that it came with and now if i insert it in any machine, they all dont recognise that the usb adapter has been inserted. can you please help

It's a Windows thing. If you install a USB device, Windows only recognises it if it sees it next next time in the same USB Port or socket, if you prefer. Plug it into a different one and Windows wants to go through the install process all over again, numbering the Wireless Connection differently every time. It's easier to remember where it was when you first installed it than try to overcome Windows shortcomings.
