It looks mechanical...I take it there was no word on if this would be using Cherry MX keys or anything else..

They should make it tenkeyless and let the add-on portion double as the 10-key. That way people who would like to have the keyboard in a more neutral position for typing could do so without having to give up the 10-key in the process.

I should have read more closely. Looks like they plan this at some point.

...wrote a whole article about that and linked to it in this article...it uses their own modular EG MMS switches.
