Hi there,

Could anyone tell me if the Epson EH-TW6600 would be suitable for gaming? I intend to use it connected to a ps4 and pc (using a switch). The ps4 games would be competitive games, so low lag between the ps4 and the projector would be a priority.

What sort of things should I be looking for? Are the lumens (2500 lumens) bright enough for use during the day? Are there better alternatives? My max budget would be £1,000 so this is already at the top end of what I could afford...

Thanks everyone, and sorry for the noob questions, but I hope this is the place to seek more intelligent advice than I currently have!

Cheers,

Tom.

I don't see any issues connecting your PS4 to the projector. The PC connection *should* work just as well, but that depends on the projector and how it handles a PC connection.

Umm... The question I have is when I looked up your projector on Amazon, the price was extremely bloated. Is this something you intend to purchase, new or something you just need to verify connectivity?

It's something i'm considering buying from new. Are there more suitable alternatives out there?

Thank you for taking the time to reply to me 🙂

Well, unless I'm missing something (and I don't think I am), it's just a 1080p projector. I purchased mine a couple of years ago for less than $1000 (Optoma HD20). Today, 1080p projectors should be priced around $800 - $1200. When I looked up the one you asked about on Amazon, they were asking $4700 for it.

Just want to make sure you're not paying that much for a projector.

You're not missing anything, except that on Argos (UK retailer) and amazon (marketplace, not prime) it's around £900 GBP, but that's $1100 USD equivalent at the moment...

Do you have any suggestions for a different make/model? Is there a Tom's Hardware buyers guide for gaming projectors anywhere?

Thank you as always for sparing your time!
