I use this scanner for creating PDFs from hardcopies to the emails, and infrequently at that. It worked well with my old W10 computer, but not with the new W11 desktop. I've upgraded the drivers from Epson's website. The desktop icon for Scan returns an alert that the scanner is not connected. And the blue button on the scanner itself scans 2 or 3 times on a single press and produces small portions of the 8.5x11 sheet.

What scanning app is being used?

My thought is that Windows 11 or perhaps some app is not aware of the Epson Scanner and/or does not know how to "talk with it".

Is the scanner listed anywhere in Device Manager?

And check "Windows Fax and Scan" via the Search oval.

You can also use "WIN" + "I" > Bluetooth & Devices > Printers & scanners.

This scanner?

Epson Scanner

[Verify that I found the applicable Epson scanner webpage.]

The next step is to manually download, install, and configure the scanner drivers directly from Epson. No third party tools or installers.

If the scanner is still not found then try the following command via Powershell.

Get-PNPDevice

https://learn.microsoft.com/ja-jp/p...evice/get-pnpdevice?view=windowsserver2022-ps

Look for any results that include "scan", Epson, etc..

If the scanner is not listed then there may some other problem: bad port or cable.

Also - you mentioned email. Are you using "New Outlook" by any chance?
