Hello
Got a L220 epson printer
I'v been looking up for this problem and non of the sites mentioned the exact problem that i have:
i didn't use the straight copy option on the printer till recently. before that i used to print pictures at least once a week to prevent the ink dry (i lost a week once). so one day when i needed a copy of a colored paper , i placed the paper on the scanner and then pushed the button for copying and the copied paper had horizontal lines with different colors on it.
just to be clear i don't get these lines when printing , they just appear for copies.
I ran a nozzle check and yes there were some incorrect lines and they didn't disappear after head cleaning (not all of them). however , the incorrect lines were a few maybe 2% of the nozzle check. and i don't think they will be a concern. because when i print a picture its completely satisfying and when i copy the same picture the lines are completely notable.
point being , there is a huge difference between scanned/copied and printed papers
it might seem stupid but maybe its the speed of them. because scanning/copying process happens faster than printing , so maybe it passes some spots without painting them. then if possible , changing the default speed might help.
there is also a power ink flushing option in maintenance page that i'm not sure i should use.
will be glad to see some professional tips.
