Epson Scan Win 7 doesn't open

Hi,
My problem is that when I start the Epson Scan under win 7, its icon goes down to the taskbar, it sometimes blinks, but nothing else happens and I can't run the software. Any suggestions, what might help?

Please make sure it is designed for Windows 7. For example, my epson scanner has twain drivers from windows 7 NOT epson, but the epson software is not available for windows 7. So it will not work. I have to set photoshop to use twain specific win 7 driver.
