I have laptop with an SSD with Windows 7 and a bunch of other licensed software from a company I worked with for my bachelor project.
The company has told me to erase all my data from the SSD and leave everything the way I found it when returning the laptop.

The problem is that, that time has come and I cannot securely erase all my data in order to turn the data into unrecoverable by future users of the laptop.

What advice do you have for me ?
I have considered partitioning all remaining free space on the SSD and formatting it and then extending the Win7 partition back - did anyone else try this?
What solutions do you use for data sanitization on your shared workstations?

I think that Active@ Killdisk (free) has a "Wipe Free Space" option, so I think does CCleaner. This should write over the disk with zeros of all but non deleted files.
However, you state it has an SSD, so it does not behave the same as an HDD which is magnetic storage.
You could run Recuver to see if it can find your old files.

Finally, if it was me, I would remove the SSD and hand back the laptop. Its Windows 7 and they need to move on...what are they gonna do ?
