Question Error 1606 when installing SPSS

Hi guys,

I'm trying to install IBM SPSS 29 but continuously met with this error. I've tried googling the issue but the results haven't been helpful. I was hoping I could get some help here!

I'm not quite sure what you mean by that, I'm trying to install it onto my laptop. I used to have SPSS 27 and tried uninstalling it. I got the same problem even with uninstalling but ran the Windows Program Install and Uninstall troubleshooter which helped me uninstall SPSS 27 but not install the new one.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by that,

I meant - are you installing from a network location?
Installation files located on a network share - on some other computer on network.

Or are installation files copied onto your laptop hdd/ssd?

No the installation files are on my laptop's ssd and I'm just trying to install it on the laptop.
