Question Error 55 (memory) after reseating RAM

My RAM was showing 8gb when I have 16 so I decided to reseat the ram and try to fix the problem. I continue to get error 55. I've tried taking out cmos, cleaning ram sticks, dusting ram slots. I've tried individual ram sticks at a time in each slots. Nothing will get me past the error 55. I am certain it's not my CPU because all I did was reseat the ram. I did move the heatsink slightly. Kind of clueless at this point. I've tried everything.
