I recently bought Samsung EVO 860 mSATA for my MSI GE60 0NC (± 7years old now). I tried to install Windows 10 on it (legal version, from bootable usb, clean install), the boot went fine, untill I was met with a blue screen that says:

Recovery

Your PC/Device needs to be repaired

The application or operating system couldn't be loaded because a required file is missing or contains errors.

File: \Windows\system32\winload.exe

Error Code: 0xc000000e

You'll need to use recovery tools. If you don't have any installation media (like a disc or USB device), contact your Pc administrator or PC/Device manufacturer.

Press Enter to try again

Press F8 for Startup Settings

Pressing either enter or f8 just reloads the page. What should I do ? How can I install Windows 10 on my mSATA ?

(Later, I tried to install Windows 10 on HDD. It went just fine.)

On a similar topic, I found this solution:

Use Windows 10 bootable DVD or USB and boot.
Select option to repair your system instead of installing.
Go to command prompt (in advanced options) and hit following commands to repair MBR.
bootrec /fixmbr
bootrec /fixboot
bootrec /rebuildbcd
Press [y] when system asks you to accept.
Exit

However, bootrec/ fixboot commend gives me an “access is denied” error.
