Hi, I just finished putting together my new PC:

MBD: Gigabyte GA-z170x-Gaming 7

CPU: Intel i7-7700k

RAM: G.Skill TridentZ DDR4-3000 CL-15-15-15-35 16Gx2 Intel XMP 2.0 Ready

GPU: Nvidia GTX 1080 Founders Edition

PSU: FSP Berserker 500W ATX12V/EPS12V 80 Plus Bronze (I have a Thermaltake Smart Pro RGB 750W Continuous Power ATX12V v2.4 / EPS v2.92 80 Plus Bronze Certified Full Modular Power Supply pre-ordered)

SSD: Samsung 850 Evo

HDD: WD Blue 1.0TB and Seagate Constellation ES 2.0 TB

Case: Thermaltake Level 10 GT

The first time I booted my PC it threw error code 55, so I took out one of my ram sticks and graphics card and booted again. This time it threw code 62; my manual says that error code 62 is "Installation of PCH runtime services" so I did some research and put my graphics card back into two different slots on my motherboard and my motherboard continues to throw error code 62. I used my graphics card for over a year in my last build, along with my PSU and hard drives, so I know that they were working yesterday, and I really hope that they still do. The screen is black and is not detecting a signal so I can't do anything software wise.

I'm stumped, can anyone help me?

Solution
You have to flash it, but you have to get it to the bios first, go talk to your local pc store they will have a test setup they can put it in and test it on. At this point there isn't much you can do at home unfortunately.

Hi, Im not sure if my comment is not too late, but a few minutes I was having the same issue and I managed to resolved it, these are my system specs:

Ryzen 7 1700
Asus Crosshair 6 Hero
Corsair Vengeance LED 32 GBs DDR4 3200Mhz
EVGA GTX 1080 Ti SC Black Edition
Corsair AX1200i
Samsung 850 Evo

I was installing new fans I bought for my case and I decided to clean my GPU, so I took it out to clean it and then when I finished I installed everything back, I power on the PC and received that error code 62 (reading the manual it is the same error message despite my system been a ryzen system), I have like 3 months with my system working without any issues, so I ran into your problem here in the forum and started to see a lot of thing that didnt fit in my own issue.

So I realized that the only thing that I change from my system was the new fan, which dont have anything to do with the error code 62, the only other option was that I took out my GPU, so what I did was to double check power cables from the GPU, they where kind of bend so I try to give them some space from behind my case and directly into the GPU connectors, once I did that, the PC started without any issues.

So I recommend first to check very well the power connections from PSU to the GPU and any other connection, try to give them some space and leave them without been bend, that´s why cable management can be also important.

If that doesnt work, try to use other PCIE ports from the PSU and try again.

Lastly if this doesnt work, I would be more inclined that the issue as to do more with the PSU, than any other component on the PC. Hope this can help you or anybody else, thanks!

The issue was resolved about a year ago, but for those who are continuing to answer, the issue was that the CPU was so new that the BIOS that was factory loaded onto the motherboard was not compatible; I sent it to Gigabyte and they fixed the problem under warranty.
