I was moving a 4GB file from my desktop to my memory stick to backup my pc, and it blue screened. After restarting, the pc came up with the error "CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED" and restarted, and then started to do the automatic repair. Afterwards it just says that the system did not start up properly, and whatever troubleshooting option I do, it does not work. Can anybody help me fix this issue?

Solution
You should check your hardware.

1) hard drive - Hard Disk Sentinel trial version then do a short self test
2) check your memory with memtest --- you'll need to google memtest for a guide.
3) do a virus scan and rootkit scan.
4) you can physically re-seat all your computer parts inside(GPU,memory, cables) and blow the rig out.
5) look on your computers website for updated drivers.
6) if no hardware issues come up then you would need to think about a fresh OS install.

I'm assuming your getting this often now.

Solution
then you need to take your hard drive out and test it on another computer. If it checks out as fine then virus scan it.

after that you need to check your memory for errors thats corrupting windows.

you can test the PSU by swapping in a known good PSU or buying a PSU tester.

worst case scenario is having to reinstall windows with a fresh install or some hardware issues has come up. bad PSU/ bad memory/ bad motherboard. but you want to verify hard drive first that its not starting to fail. then make sure you have no hardware issues befor doing a new OS install.
