Question Error when cloning drives

Hey, so i was trying to clone a disk on a laptop with a samsung software, i was trying to clone a hdd to an ssd, the hdd has 100gb to clone in the 248gb ssd which is empty, nearly 4 minutes after, i get the error "The data migration function has been interrupted for an unknown reason". The SSD was not showing up on file explorer before so i had to do some stuff on disk management, but after the error it stopped appearing again.

What specific drives?

It's a samsung ssd, connected via usb. Don't know what laptop it is, it's my dad's and im trying to help him, he is not here right now.

Samsung Data Migration has a major problem trying to clone/migrate to a drive connected via USB.

The only workaround I know of might be to use a different tool, such as Macrium Reflect.

As always, at the end of the clone process, the FIRST thing you do is power off, swap the drives...physically removing the old one.
See if the system powers up from ONLY the new.

Resist the urge to snoop around in the clone target to "see if everything is there"
Absent a fault or error, it is.
