Error while attempting to secure erase 840 EVO with Magician

I want to restore my 840 EVO to factory condition, and I found the Secure Erase feature in Samsung's Magician software. I used a formatted 8GB Patriot Supersonic Xpress as a bootable USB drive, however it gives me this error after I start the process:

Anyone know what could be causing this?

Googling the error only comes up with 3 hits. I'm not sure but this site says there's a magician download you can make on USB drive to format.

I sort of solved it. Tried a DVD and it worked. Still don't know what to do about the USB however.
