Hi,

I used the official MS page https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10. It lets you download MediaCreationTool21H2 tool that guides you through the update. The tool lets you download the update on line, or let you save it on a USB-stick to install it as an ISO. I tried both but bot gave the same outcome. At around 73% of the finalisation of the update, it crashes and it sayes Windows 10 installation failed (nothing more). So i looked into where to find the logs and these are the ones I attached onto the first post.

Hi Coilf,

Thanks for your help. Indeed it helped to install without internet connection.
After all, I finalized to update to Win 10. It seemed that there was an issue with the installation of the updates during the Win upgrade. I switched off the interconnection and was then able to upgrade.

However, Win 10 tells me now to activate the Windows software, despite the fact that I had a legitime Win 8.1 version.
How can get Win 10 activated?

Best regards,
Nikolas
