Question error with news and interests

not sure if anyone else ever experienced it but lately I'm having issues with the "news and interests" Microsoft [redacated]
without being used it takes an absurd amount of ram (see screenshot, 52 GB of ram)
anyone knows what's up with that or how can I fix it?
I'm not pirating anything so I don't think it's a virus...

You don't necessarily need to have a pirated OS to end up with what is known generally as memoryleak for the OS, which has been prevalent since Windows 8 has been around. The only way around it is to perform a clean install, if you've tried SFC /scannow or a restore point prior to when the issue cropped up. The issue can manifest during a botched OS update process.

As for not using the function/feature you've stated above, what sort of memory usage does the OS show(on Resource Manager)?

I always turn the news and interests off. Also I get irritated with how edge and chrome constantly want to run in the background these days.
