hello, a few days ago my esc key stopped working, i tried everything that i found on the internet.. uninstall driver and restart.. cleaning my keyboard.. i really tried everything for the last 4 Hours nothing works, i even put down my ESC key on my makros and it still doesnt work, i use a clean version of Windows 10 with a licence, i would really love if someone got an answer cause i cant use my ESC key without an Displayed keyboard, and its hard when you play Games like Payday 2 where you have to restart the whole game because a stupid key isnt working.

Solution
Try making a new local account and see if it still happens - https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/help/4026923/windows-10-create-a-local-user-or-administrator-account - Does it happen on new user?

Try booting into safe mode and see if it still happens
go to settings/update & security/recovery
under advanced startup, click restart now button
choose troubleshoot
choose advanced
choose start up options
hit the restart button
choose a safe mode (it doesn't matter which) by using number associated with it.
Pc will restart and load safe mode

if it happens still its hardware, if it doesn't happen, its drivers. Could also be bios

a pc, my keyboard is a Lioncast LK12 its like a simplistic gaming keyboard, i havent tried another, but i know that this isnt the fault of my keyboard itself because if i put ESC on one of my macros the esc key doesnt work there either

So something is blocking the function, try doing a clean boot and see if it still happens.
read instructions and make sure NOT to disable any microsoft services or Win 10 may not boot right
https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows

if it doesn't happen, its likely one of your start up programs is blocking the command. Slowly add them over a few startups to see which is causing problem.

so i made a clean boot and closed all my startup programms and the problem is still there, im gonna get myself a cheap Keyboard to see if the problem is still there but i dont have many hopes, i think its something in the data that got corrupted
