Recently I have gotten into the Escape From Tarkov scene, however my rig seems to be lacking in the hardware department slightly in order to run it smooth. I run about 100 frames in an offline raid (no AI) and around 50 in an online. I'd like to squeeze a little more performance out of my PC before upgrading, if possible, but if not, what would you recommend I upgrade first? I've tinkered with settings in and out of Tarkov, in the launcher, and in Geforce Experience, none of which seemed to make much of a difference. My ram does get precariously close to maxing out (92-95% in task manager) but that shouldn't explain my low frames. Apparently Tarkov is quite CPU intensive but I don't see high usage in task manager (if my CPU was the problem, you'd think it would have more than 30-50% usage). Recommendations?

My specs are:
CPU: Ryzen 5 2400G
GPU: Aero ITX GTX 1650 SUPER (4gb GDDR6)
MOBO: ASRock B450M-HDV
RAM: 2 x 8GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 2400 MHz
PSU: Corsair TX550M

Solution
Keep task manager on second display, or download and check some videos to learn to use MSI Afterburner (https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/msi-afterburner-beta-download.html)

Well the Ryzen 5 2400 is around the same performance as a Ryzen 5 1500X + an integrated GPU.

I can not tell you for sure that the CPU is the problem, but as I wrote is one of the weakest links. I still don't know what resolution you are using (Im guessing 1080p). Either R3 3100/3300X + 2x8GB DD4 3200 should be way better than the R5 2400G+2x8GB DDR4 2400.
Hi, are you checking the task manager while playing the game or do you minimize the game to check it ?, If you do the last thats not the best way to check CPU load.

From the parts you listed I would say the CPU and RAM are the weakest. But then again I do not know the resolution and graphic settings you are using.

With the right BIOS you should be able to use a Ryzen 3 3100 or 3300X, or a R5 3500. If CPU is the problem those ones should fix it. But Ryzen like fast memory, so 2x8GB DDR4 3200 will also be need it.

I am minimizing Tarkov to check the CPU load, I do have a second monitor I can put it on. I only use task manager due to lack of a better software. I am playing with medium settings as the game looks like a gameboy color at low settings and does not even benefit that much fps. I believe the problem may lie in my CPU.

yes 1080p

I can't imagine my GPU is the issue as it is relatively new and even if my ram is capped out at 100% that results in game stuttering and not fps drop so I'm going to conclude that my CPU is the issue as it is slightly outdated.
