So... A friend of mine had these 3 old computers that he wanted to get rid of. Being a computer enthusiast I picked them up. He had a 286 from 1987, a 486 and a Pentium II. I started to try and figure out the 286. Only the hard drive was missing and he didn't rip things out like on the 486 so that left me with 1 minor problem, and a bigger one. The small one was the peripherals, but I've figured it out. The big problem is the ESDI connector for HDD's. I couldn't find any, anywhere. However, I've seen forums talking about using flash storage or other. I think it has somewhere around 100 MHZ Processor and 1MB of RAM from what I could see on the very minimal Pre-Bios Menu. I couldn't enter it since I didn't have a Keyboard. So to recap, I need a form of storage hopefully a hard drive such as this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SgZVOXBl4-c and if not possible then another way. Anyone know any place I could get a HDD or an adapter for ESDI to something more feasable.

Thanks,

So after hours of research with a very long playlist I found IDE DOM's however they're all 44 or 40 pin, when the drive manager has 20 pins for drives and 34 pins for Floppy and something called "winchester". Would it be possible to only use half the pins or an adapter of sort? Really need a hand with this. Dont know what storage to use for this
