As far as I know, it hasn't been cancelled or pulled out. Seems it's taking a while for them to get it into the market... I heard that it'll be here around QIII or so.

Why bring out another drive when the 75GXP is still drawing such high demand? Maybe it's delayed, nobody but individuals around IBM will know that for sure. But if it were me in taking part in that decision, it's not bad business to rest on their laurels a bit while the 75GXP is still selling strong.

***check the jumpers 1st then check em again***

Hi, It's been about a month since I last posted this topic, and with all the problems surfacing w/ the 75gxp i was wondering if anybody knows if the 60gxp will be available anytime soon and when? I'm sure alot of other people are wondering too, thanks!

They are already available at www.hypermicro.com
According to SR's review they don't really perform any better than the 75GXP.

Yeah, even the stats on their site show not too big of a difference. But hey, it's an improvement (supposedly).
