Please help. This is very urgent. I am about to just hard reset my PC.

Even thought the cable tests fine on another pc I would try a different cable. You pretty much have to hope it is a bad cable because it only leaves a bad port in the pc or router which will be expensive to replace. A new cable is going to the cheapest thing to try.

There is not much else to this. Pretty much you only get media disconnected on hardware problems. Software setting issue you get other errors.

Sometimes it is driver issues but since you have not changed the pc it is not likely that. You could also check the bios setting to make sure it is not disabled but again you did not change the pc so that is also unlikely.

Use device manager to make sure the port is working properly and the right drivers are installed. And just see if you can get another ethernet cable.
