So far there is NO WAY to fix my Ethernet problem. I have a desktop and a laptop. I have an Ethernet cable plugged in both. I have wi Fi but my Ethernet does not work. I did almost anything u could think of. Restart router, go to device manager, enabling and disabling the Ethernet, unplugging and replugging the cable and still nothing. It just says "unidentified network". I even got a new Ethernet cable. NOTHING IS WORKING. I can't use wireless cause it connects so badly. Is there possibly anything else I can do. And please don't ask: "did you do this?:" etc. I just need an answer.

Buy a new router, new desktop and new laptop, that should take care of the issues without need to have you try other things. 95% chance replacing everything will fix your issue. The other 5% would be you doing something wrong when you are configuring things and causing the issue when there are not other hardware or software issues.

If you'd like to try some other things, then feel free to ask for what else you can try on the forums. Like if we need to ask "when did this start?" "has it ever worked?" "if it worked before, what happened before it stopped working?" "does the router show any devices connected?" "What IPs do the compters get?"

Then it's time to replace something. Take your computer to a friends house and try to connect using their internet connection. If it works, the problem is your router. If it does not connect, the problem is your computer.
