Thank you in advance to anyone who replies to this thread. So recently I moved places, I setup my PC, hardwired, setup goes from the wall to the modem, modem to router, and router to an Ethernet in the wall which then goes to an 8 hub switch i have setup in the closet in order to provide an ethernet port in the wall of every room of the house, all very newly done. None of my other devices are having issues (that I can tell) but when I'm working, and on video feed, my internet completely cuts out on my PC, video of course cuts out and then 5-30 seconds later its back, even though I can turn the TV on and it's still live, and modem lights are all still active.

The ethernet switch that provides internet to the house is brand new as, brand new modem and router as well. Same configuration as the old place which i had 0 problems with except for my horrible ISP not being able to provide steady service, but i only started having this issue after moving, and setting up in a different location, which ive done many a times before with no issues. I can be browsing the web, and i'll get a message saying cant connect to the server, and I have the refresh and hit F5 about 5-10 times before the webpage will pop up. This is very frustrating, especially when it happens while I am being depended on to be at work and all the sudden I disappear.

I have tried different Ethernet ports throughout the house, I have tried changing my internet connection from ethernet to wifi thinking maybe my LAN card was going bad... same exact issue. I cleared all my cache, I flushed my DNS, i've done everything I can think of, and all I did was move locations. To a spot where the internet is actually supposed to be better, everyone around me says they have 0 issues. I finally got my Comcast back and though it would be smooth sailing but its been everything but.

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

Include PSU: make, model, wattage, age, condition?

Disk drives: make, model, capacity, how full?

As I understand your post the problem follows the PC no matter what network connectivity is being used (e.g. wired cables/wall jacks, wireless, etc.) - correct?

And the problem occurs when the PC is doing "video" - correct? That could mean that the problem is not necessarily network related.

= = = =

Power down, unplug open the case.

Clean out dust and debris.

Verify by sight and feel that all connectors, cards, ram, jumpers are fully and firmly in place. Maybe something wiggled loose during the physical move.

Use Task Manager and Resource Monitor to observe PC performance with and without using video. Use both tools but only one at a time. Observe what the system is doing and what happens when the video cuts out. Maybe something that leads up to the cut out.

Also look in Reliability History for any error codes, warnings, or even informational events that started occurring after the move. Reliability History presents a timeline format that may make some problem readily apparent.

Oh wow thanks for all the replies already! I currently am using a brand new Cat 8 ethernet cable i just bought yesterday, a 2 pack, i have tried both of them, along with about 3 or 4 other cat5 Ethernet cables, thinking and praying it was a faulty cable.. I have tried swapping so many different ethernet cables to try pinpointing a problem. The cable from the hub the the ethernet switch is about 3 feet, same as the one coming out of the back of my PC to the wall. Same for my router to the wall, and the cable from the modem to the router, all about 3 foot.

Setup is as follows:
PSU Rosewill 800 watt Gold + modular (i think)
32GB 3200ghz Corsair Vengeance Memory
AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12 core CPU
Gigabyte 1080 GPU (dont play games)
ASUS OG Crosshair VI MotherBoard
Boot drive is a 500GB WesterDigital Blue SSD which is about half full
I have a secondary 500GB which is also 3/4 full and then also two 4TB western digital blue drives that are also about 3/4 full.

The CPU is not even 6 months old. Some components are older than others, but none of it is more than 3 years old, and the oldest of which is probably the motherboard and GPU which never got any use Ive had it since it was new. And as I had mentioned, i had been having 0 issues up until relocating the PC to the new residence, i had the PC packed up with blankets in my car specifically so it wouldn't get damaged in the move because its so important to me, its my livelihood.. The video thing was just an example, it was just an example of showing how i know im losing connection, but here is another one, when i'm trying to surf the web and load a webpage, i type it in and it'll tell me it cannot connect to the servers IP, i have to hit f5 to refresh about 5-10 times and then it works fine again all the sudden. But I can't keep losing connection like this. I am also depending on software in the background that needs a constant internet connection or it closes itself down and shuts off, which is very important to me to have it not shutdown itself down constantly from losing connectivity.

And yes, the problem is following me regardless of whether I am hardwired to the PC, or whether I turn on Wi-Fi and try using that and unplugging the ethernet all together, I still can recreate the same exact issues, they seem to happen randomly but very often. I have gigabit internet and when I do a speed test I get close to 900mbps down and 40mbps up. I'm not sure why I keep losing connectivity. The speed seems great

I'm not seeing anything unusual in the Reliability History as of recently, though I do show a lot of unsuccessful application reconfiguration from Google Update Helper on a daily basis and I'm not sure what that is. I have run Malwarebytes and NOD32 Antivirus and neither detects any kind of virus or malware.

With a bad ethernet cable/port you get a different error. You will get a red disconneceted icon and if you check IPCONFIG you will the status as disconnected.

When it broken check the IPCONFIG and see if you still have ipaddresses.

Try to ping the router IP.

See if you can ping a DNS server like 8.8.8.8
