Ethernet Controller not working.. Can't get drivers installed. HELP ! Windows 7 32-bit,3 Gb RAM, 500 Gb Hard Drive

Solution
If it's the correct driver and it says it can't find the related hardware, then it typically means that the component is faulty so it can no longer be detected by the OS or the driver. You can use either a USB WiFi adapter or you can install a PCI network card.

Sorry about that. I'm running Windows 7 Pro 32-bit, 500 Gb Hard Drive, 3 Gb RAM. After I lost my internet connect, I tried using the disk that came with my Motherboard (Gigabyte GA-Z77-DS3H). I tried to re-install the Ethernet driver. Then I got the error message " No Qualcomm Atheros Ethernet Controller found ". I couldn't get the driver installed. In Device Manager, I had to select SHOW HIDDEN DEVICES. THEN it showed Network (device). In BIOS I saw that the LAN (device) was ENABLED. I began to suspect that the Ethernet Controller died. Which led me to thinking about the USB Ethernet Adapter. garystan
