Recently I built a PC, got everything installed drivers working everything worked great. A bit of an oversight was that I didn't get any sort of Wi-Fi card and my router is all the way across the house, knowing I planned on moving the router closer for a Ethernet connection anyways, I just plugged a Ethernet cord into my laptop and just used the internet off of it as a temporary fix. It worked perfectly granted the slow internet speed. But after awhile all of the sudden the Wi-Fi would just cut out and stop working entirely, but it always seemed temporary as after about 10 seconds it would come back and I would resume. A few days ago though it happened again but this time it just stayed that way. Unidentified network, and would get the error shown in title. Internet on the laptop works great still, using it to write this right now. But I have combed the internet looking for a method of fixing it, and nothing would work. I have tried different cables, different computers, reinstalling drivers, going through a plethora of command prompt commands. I even moved the thing and plugged it directly through my router and yet the same error. Very frustrated can anybody help?

walk this back to the basic my man.
for get everything you have done. (laptop how it used to work etc)

1) plug in pc to Ethernet port on router. dose it work ?>
2) if not what message if ayn are you getting ?
3) go into the settings of the network card and make sure it is all set to autio for ipv4 ipv 6 settings
4) profit ?

let us know what is what .

Ok, I just went back and plugged it into my router and it seems to be working just fine now. Also network settings are at auto already. This would be great news if i was working so close to it. At least i'm getting somewhere?
