Question Ethernet Download too Slow

Hello everyone,

I'm sorry in advance if I make any mistakes as english is not my primary language, now onto the problem at hand.

I recently built a PC,
AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core Processor 3.70 GHz
16 GO Ram
AMD Radeon 6700
1to SSD Blue SN 570

Now, I have an internet connexion that reach 495mb in dl and approx 80mb in upload when I do the test on speedtest, or the one that can be found on google. When it comes to downloading games from steam, batllenet, or even the xbox launcher, it doesn't go above 70-60mb. When I open the task manager it shows peeks, sometimes 1mb, sometimes 500mb and it's fluctuating a lot.

What I have tried so far:

• Changing the DNS
• Another ethernet cable
• Going from win 11 to 10
• Downloading and updating all the drivers
• Testing the writing speed of my ssd and the probelm is not there
• Tried the same ethernet cable with my xbox and I get 395-400mb

If anyone have any idea to what might be causing this or a fix, I would be forever grateful.

Be very careful about your units. Most game downloads are shown in BYTES/sec where speedtest and other network stuff show bits/sec.

So 60MBYTES is the same as 480mbits

1 MBytes = about 8 bits

Capitalization is also important:

B= Bytes
b= bits
M= Mega
m= milli
