Ethernet on a new pc

How can I connect to Ethernet on a new pc with no drivers installed? I try changing the adaptor settings but when i go to 'Change adapter settings' nothing appears, what do i do? (btw, I also cannot install drivers right now since im on a mac, If you can help me with that too it woud be appreciated)

You can't unless the OS has drivers for the hardware. Some PCs enable the ethernet in the BIOS so that you can do BIOS updates. Once you have a OS installed, you have to have driver software for the hardware. That is usually available on the CD that comes with the motherboard. On the mac, maybe you could copy the CD files to a flash drive and load them from there.

ive tried downloading the cd files, but they dont appear on the pc
