Hello, I've changed my pc recently and I decided to do a fresh win 10 installation.

Installed drivers n bla bla for motherboard, updates and so on.

Connected my ethernet cable via powerline adaptor (it is in the same socket as my pc ) and lan worked very slow. I unisnstalled drivers, reinstalled, same. Now it is not working at all. it gives the ! and cannot connect.

I tried to plug the cable at the main router directly into the ethernet port and boom, it works flawlessy.

I really got no option to move my router close to my pc, and I cannot have a cable that goest trou all house.

Any idea? The pc I had before worked percetly with powerlines, not a issue ever.

Wi-fi works good, but I need stable connection for streaming. Thanks!

Solution
If you are using powerline connections via the pc's Ethernet socket (built into motherboard) then the external usb wifi device should be disabled.
What make and model powerline adapters are you using?

Did you try another known working Ethernet cable between PC and powerline adapter? E.g., the cable that runs through the house? (You know that that cable works. PC direct to router....)

Can you try another wired computer in place of your PC for testing purposes? Determine if the problem stays with your PC or not.

Hello, I use the Netgear Powerline 1000, Itried different cables and results are the same, even with the long cable that i'm using right now. I've used my ex Pc until yesterday with this same cable and powerline that is not working here, alsto tested wuth a old laptot and an eeepc via ethernet, everything works perfect.

I really got no idea... you have any?

Still some troubleshooting options available I think....

The only change, as I follow the posts, is the new pc.

Could it be a grounding problem on the new pc?

Does the new pc have both a built in wired network adapter and a PCIe network adapter? If so, is only one adapter enabled? Does the problem occur with each of the adapters or just one of the adapters?

Yes, I just tried to plug in into another socket, but still no luck, only the ! and cannot connect

Pc got ethernet socket and I use wi-fi with an external usb device from tp-link.

Maybe there are out there drivers more updated than the ones on motherboard website? Msi b250m pro-vd
