Ethernet takes about 5-7 minutes to start working

I've been having this problem for the past 3 months and it finally got to my nerves. Here we go.

Every time I turn on my computer, I have to wait at least 5 minutes to be able to use internet, and even then I might have to refresh a page a couple of times until it works.
I know its not modem related because it works flawlessly in safe mode (with networking). What I kinda recall is that this problem MAY have started when my ISP changed my modem to a WiFi-modem, so them screwing with some configuration is a posibility.

Things I've tried:
Safe Mode with networking (works fine)
Resetting the modem to factory settings
Disabling all non-Microsoft settings
Uninstalling avast! (I still had Malwarebytes, but I believe it is only on when I open it)

I have 1 PC and a router connected to this modem. Another PC is connected to the router, and there is a maximum of 4 devices conected to WiFi at all times.
The other PC's internet seems to be working fine, although I only checked twice.
WiFi works fine.

I also noticed that I can make Skype calls with video.

pinging google.com doesn't get any replies while it isn't working. Pinging 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 does.

The PC works great outside of that.
As for the network settings, let me google how to check and I'll post back. Do you want me to compare them to the newtork settings of the PC that works?

Ok, I get a bit lost at this point. On my PC (the one that doesn't work), DHCP is enabled and DNS server adresses are obtained automatically. If I go to advanced TCP/IP Settings, a box that says "Append parent suffixes of the primary DNS suffix" is ticked (English is not my first language and that sounds like absolute gibberish to me, but it seems right)
Will compare this to PC nº 2 and update.

Update: Everything seems to be the same. However, after a couple of minutes of PCnº2 being on, the same problem started to happen. This is weird... maybe it is the modem, it just stops working in a specific time window? I will try getting into safe mode again and test for about 10 minutes.

Update 2: Problems with PCnº2 might have had something to do with a download ocurring in PCnº1. Lights are off in PCnº2 area for the night, so I will bump this tomorrow. Still, if anyone has any idea, I will read them when I wake up.

You might want to power everything down except one PC and the cable modem (connect directly to the modem). Try connecting to the internet and see what happens. There could be a number of things that are happening - the best thing is to remove all variables and take it to the basics.

Good morning. I've tested safe mode with networking for about 10 minutes and it works fine. Same with PCnº2. It was a bit slow but I think it's because the PC itself is slower.
Tried turning off every WiFi device and disconecting the router to the modem (so that only PCnº1 is connected) and the problem stayed the same.

Comparing again the network settings, I dont know if it's relevant but I found a difference on the following:
· Default Gateway
· DHCP Server
· DHCPv6 IAID
· DHCPv6 Client DUID
The first two being xxx.xxx.0.x on PCnº1, and xxx.xxx.1.x on PCnº2.
The last 2 are completely different.

Things I believe are key are:
Works fine in Safe Mode (So I assume no hardware issues).
Can make Skype calls.

The IP settings should be 192.168.X.2 - 192.168.X.255, where X = 1 or X=0 (depends upon the cable modem/router). If the IP addresses are different, that is going to be a problem...DHCP should be enabled on the cable modem/router, and it should be assigning IP addresses automatically.

The IP adresses are 192.168.0.1 on the faulty pc (connected to the modem), and 192.168.1.1 on PCnº2 (connected to the router). Is that ok?
DHCP is assigning IP adresses automatically.

Im gonna try turning my firewall off now.
Update: turning firewall off changed nothing.
DHCP is enabled on Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection but not on Tunnel adapters

Nope, the modem sends WiFi signal, and it has a router that sends another signal where the modem's WiFi cannot reach.
Im cheking by typing "ipconfig /all" in the cmd.
IPv4 Adress is 192.168.0.5
If I check my IP here: http://www.whatismyip.com/ it gives me an IP that don't see anywhere on my pc.

whatismyip.com tells you the public IP address of your network - the 192.168.0.X is your private IP address. Your IP address for the computer you are on is 192.168.0.5.

One of the computers is setup wrong - the third octet of the IP is incorrect (octet1.octet2.octet3.octet4) - the first three octets should be the same on both computers - and both computers should use the same DHCP, DNS and gateway settings. If they aren't using the same three octets, they are on different networks, and all kinds of bad things happen....
