Question Ethernet works fine but WiFi keeps disconnecting ?

So this has only started recently. I have 2 desktop computers both in different rooms of the house plugged into the modem with Ethernet cables and they work perfectly. The problem is with the WiFi on my phone and another family member's phone and also his laptop. They all connect and disconnect throughout the day and only stay connected for minutes at a time.
Ive reset the modem, I've unplugged the modem multiple times, and factory reset both cell phones. I really have no idea what else it can be since there has been no new changes in the house, nothing has been moved. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make and model of your wireless router? You might want to see if the wireless router has any firmware updates pending. As for your devices that don't maintain a connection to the wireless router, specifically the laptop, please pass on the make and model of your laptop and it's SKU. While you're doing that, see if the laptop is pending any BIOS updates, then see if the OS is pending any updates. Following that, you can then try manually reinstalling the latest drivers for the laptop's wireless adapter.

If the issue is persistent with the phone and the laptop, it's highly likely that the router is having trouble managing the devices mentioned above.

Buy all your neighbors houses within a mile so you have all the wifi radio bandwidth to yourself :)

So if we ignore the possibility your router radios have failed this is likely a interference issue. Either your router changed radio channels or your neighbors routers changed to use the same ones as you are using.

The old recommendation was to change radio channels to avoid conflict. It is almost impossible now days. A single router tends to use almost all the radio channels in attempt to get more speed. You then have everyone putting in repeater/mesh systems that use even more radio bandwidth.

You can still try it I guess maybe you get lucky. I would use different SSID for the 2.4 and 5 radio so you can force your end devices to use the radio band you want rather than them trying to be "smart?" and pick the best. You can change the radio channels being use to other ones and maybe set the channel width to say 20 or 40. This will reduce the speed but many times increases the stability. Some houses just hate wifi and absorb massive amounts of signal. 2.4ghz tends to run a bit slower but get better coverage in houses like this.

You could spend lots of money and upgrade all your equipment to wifi6e which can use the new 6ghz radio band. For now it is less crowed because most people have not upgraded but I am sure in a few years it will be just as bad as the current bands....espeically with the idiot stuff like wifi7 is going to do of allowing single devices to use even more radio bandwidth and operate on multiple radio bands at the same time. In many ways it would be better if there was some way to coordinate sharing but it seems the vendors are more interested in being pigs and using all the radio band width ignoring the fact everyone else is doing the same.
