Hi guys,
I just want an extra set of eye balls on some results I got with my new SSD.
GA-Z97X-Gaming 5 motherboard
Samsung 970 Evo Plus 512 NVMe
This is the drive plugged directly into the m.2 slot on the mothboard, interface identified as PCIE Gen 2 x 2.
I decided that the speed on my Z97 platform wasn't unleashing all of the power of my SSD (It's about 1/4 of what it could be due to PCIE gen 2 and only 2 lanes) so I got a Rivo PCIE to M.2 adapter that will do up to PCIE gen 3 x 4.
Here is the same SSD on that card, interface identifying as PCIE gen 2 x 4.
Can anyone explain why the random 4k Q32T1 results have fallen off so much?
Is that normal?
Thanks,
