Build

The build is to mainly be used for gaming, looking for relatively best price for performance build but it needs to run all games with high setting.
Any ammendments you guys would make? Thanks, Szary

Are you going to use it instead of the build you already have? the gtx 970 is way more powerful than the 260x, same goes for your cpu.

For gaming? No I'm not a fan of this build.

1st get 2 sticks of ram not one.
2nd drop the aftermarket cooling, you won't be overclocking so that money can be used elsewhere in the build
3rd as you won't be overclocking the z97 motherboard is of no real use, look at an h97 or b85, they support sata 3 and usb3 along with pcie, really for a non overclock system an h81 is all you need for a single GPU setup.
You can get a smaller psu 500 watts from a quality manufacturer or oem will be plenty.

Use the money saved on a better GPU. with the amount saved on the cooler and getting a more affordable motherboard you might be able to afford an r9 280 or gtx 960 or at the very least an r9 270x.

If you wish to cut further as to afford a better gpu such as the 280x you might go with an i3, while the i5 is better for gaming purposes you want to go with a faster gpu.

That will do!

I assume high settings is 1080p with some increased detail settings. If so, I recommend you switch the GPU for an R9 285, R9 280X, or a GTX 960 depending on availability and pricing in your location to give your build some longevity.

You don't need a Z97 board, or a new CPU cooler, because you cannot overclock an i5-4460. Also, a 2x4GB RAM kit works better than a single 8GB stick. Also, you are spending way too much for that case if you want to get the most out of your money.

Why go this build over the one with the gtx 970? 970 > 960 by a good margin.
