Every Microphone I have dies?

So I've gone through about 3 microphones in the last 3 months and they've all had the same fate (RIP TO FARTING SOUND).

I know my motherboard is currently having a couple issues to do with BIOS and that but is this farting sound another issue with the board or does every microphone I have turn to.... SHI I think you get the joke by now...

Have I had bad luck or a terrible board?

Do you still have any of the old microphones? Try testing one of them on your friend's computer, see if it works there.

Well if it doesn't... less spicy food would be nice before your plants start dying too... stronger mouth wash would also be great!

Nono, just kidding. its probably a driver issue, and if you plugged them in the front panel, then its probably a bad connection to the motherboard. You could also check for bloated capacitors near the audio chip.

Okie dokie, Can I be pretty basic and ask the difference between a normal looking capacitor and a bloated one?

My Logitech Webcam mic works fine it's my Yeti and my Roccat Kave mics that make this noise.. It's especially when I'm on Skype if that helps

im struggling to understand the symptom sounds, but are you sure its not the auto volume leveling in skype?
The logitech cam mic is a completely different sound device so i wouldnt expect it to have the issue.

It's happened to 3 microphones it sounds like a massive farting sound. Literally like the bowls of hell are constantly in action and everyone complains.. Does auto leveling affect this?

lol.. well skype normally has it set to keep turning up the mic volume if it doesnt hear anything. It could also be feedback. Have you tried recording yourself with a nother program to see if it's ok outside of skype?

if I'm honest it sounds perticularly quiet with alot of background hiss which is strange for the yeti... I have noticed it can sometimes pick up audio from my headphones as they're openback and I think this might be where the feedback may have come from!

Yeah just set the mic volume manually and turn your headphones down a little bit, and you should be ok.

of course, It may be worth checking your sound uptions in control pannel too. Depending on your sound card some have things like noise cancelation in the properties that you may wish to play with.
