Every USB Stick shows as "Generic Storage Device USB Device"

I'm a bit stuck on this. Every usb I put into my windows 7 computer shows up as "Generic Storage Device USB Device" in device manager and shows as unformatted. But when I try to format it it says "Windows was unable to complete the format" Then when I hop over to a different computer it works perfectly and shows the correct name.

Do other USB devices work in these ports (other than flash drives?) Are you trying the same ports or have you tried other ports such as ones on the back of your PC? It is possible you have a USB port that is going bad.

I figured it out. I had to change something around in regeddit. Thank you for your time though.
