WRONG!.... Also make sure resolution is set to the highest available. Please let me know if this helped!
WRONG!
Resolution is to be set to the display's native resolution NOT some random higher resolution.
It depends entirely on whether or not the monitor's capabilities are able to be reported. If Windows doesn't get that information (bad cable, adapters that don't do 2-way, etc.) then all possible resolutions are presented.Windows these days does not to go higher than what the monitor supports. At least I have never seen it go beyond native res, in recent years.
Not in all cases. You have much to learn youngster.Yes, of course. Windows is smart enough to sense the resolution of the screen, and I know it because I have two monitors with different resolutions.
It doesn't sense anything it simple looks at the EDID info coming from the monitor. If there is no EDID or that info is bad windows will just give a list of resolutions that the display may or may not support.Yes, of course. And unless this is 1988 a current monitor will just display an "out of range" message and switch back to the previous resolution. It doesn't sense anything it simple looks at the EDID info coming from the monitor. Yes like the basic vga driver display and every time when the window picks up my gpu driver it goes to black screen of death than i have to start the window in safe mode and disable the driver to make the window work againDo you mean like the screen resolution changed? Did you just change or install something in your system?
