Hey,
So I got a computer around April of 2021. It was working just fine until 6 months ago. I've been having this non stop occurrence on my computer. I will load up a game or go on the internet and within about 5 min or so both of my monitors will go black and say "No Signal". It happens around 3-4 times or more a day. I have tried unplugging HDMI and Display port and replugging it in seeing if I can turn it on without completely shutting off the computer but wont work. I turned off power for both monitors and replugged both of them back on. Still no signal. There is times when I get up from my chair or someone walks by it will also shut off immediately. I constantly have to unplug the power source. I have really no clue how to fix it. After the 3-4th time shutting off for the day it will be fine for the rest of the time until I go to bed. I can still hear music playing if I was playing it at the time but once I turn it off with my mouse hot key it wont turn back on. I downloaded a software called "AMD RYZEN MASTER" to check the temperature to see if it was over heating but everything seemed fine. If anyone has solutions that would be awesome! Thank you!

Cyberpower PC, so it's likely a power supply issue although it could be something else.

What is the model of the PSU they included with your system?

What motherboard BIOS version are you running currently?

What is the motherboard model?
Hello! Thank you for reaching back to me!

I believe its a "Apevia 800 Watt Gold +80". I guess that CyberPowerPC has been known for having bad PSU's.

American Megatrends Inc. P2.00, 9/9/2020. (is this what you meant)?

So, you are on the original BIOS release and there have been SIGNIFICANT changes made in the five releases that have happened since then. You do not need to install them all. Just update to the latest one. The BIOS release you are on currently doesn't even technically support the CPU you have installed so it's no wonder you've been having problems. There is also a link to instructions on HOW to update the BIOS on this page as well. Do not be afraid to also use Youtube or other sources for additional information on updating the BIOS so that you are comfortable with the process before you begin. It's not some kind of major risk like in the old days, as BIOSes need to frequently be updated these days for a number of reasons but there IS always a chance of bricking the system, if you do something stupid like cutting power or forcing a restart before the process has a chance to complete. It may take several automatic restarts during the process before it finishes and once done you should go back into the BIOS and verify it has updated to the latest version.

After that is done, go back into the BIOS and configure any custom settings you require then see if the problem is still happening. If it is, I will have further steps for you to do.

As to the PSU, oh for God's sakes, you need to get that out of there and get a quality power supply in there. Preferably BEFORE you even update the BIOS. Apevia is 1000% one of the worst PSU brands out there and their products are known for being "dumpster fire" type quality. A PSU shaped object, better used as a doorstop in the case of every Apevia model I've ever seen.

If you wish to do this now, let me know what region you are in and what you can afford to budget for a power supply and I will provide you with the least expensive quality recommendation I can find for your country or region. If you have specific requirements for where you can purchase one, give me that information as well.

Thank you!

I've thought about updating my BIOS, but I didn't know "Apevia" was a bad PSU brand! Next time I buy a prebuilt PC or even build my own PC, I'll make sure to not get an "Apevia" power supply. I'm a beginner, so I'm always learning new things. Thank you for telling me that! I'm from the USA. The PSU I have now is 800 watts. It's like what I said in this post: I have Ryzen 7 5700 and RTX 3070, so I'd maybe need a 800 watt PSU, right? For my budget, I just want a good PSU. I'm tired of my PC crashing.

You said :

"go back into the BIOS and configure any custom settings you require then see if the problem is still happening. If it is, I will have further steps for you to do"

What custom settings should I be using?

So, power supplies are still in short supply and are fairly expensive right now, but this is a very good power supply (One of the best on the market in this category) and is about as cheap as you are going to find a quality 850w PSU for. You might be able to find something better on a sale somewhere like Microcenter, but I wouldn't count on it. And don't just go buying something that looks good or has a brand name you think you can trust. Specific model is the key. Manufacturers and companies have both good and bad models. No brand has all good units. Your absolute best safeguard before buying ANY power supply is to check the specific model for trustworthy PROFESSIONAL reviews online. Not Amazon or Newegg "reviews" from people who give it five starts if the driver doesn't throw it at the house while driving by. If a unit doesn't have a professional review then it is either too new to know much about yet or not worth considering in most cases, because if it was worth considering the manufacturer would have sent out review samples or somebody would have purchased one for reviewing. The fact that nobody did usually says "stay away from this unit".

Many budget power supplies fall into this category and can be an ok choice for low end internet browsing and light office machines, but are not something you'd want to use with your high end gaming machine.

And if you wish to learn more about power supplies you can start by taking a peek at these two threads which are also helpful in sorting through what's good and not so good out there on your own.

As far as custom settings in the BIOS, I'm referring to preferred/custom fan curves, enabling memory XMP profile, etc. That is a whole other discussion.
