I have dual nVidia 7800GT's using the SLI technology. I am using a 26' Philips Widescreen monitor that has a native resolution of 1280 x 768. On my old computer that is the resolution that I used and liked. With this new computer and the new 7800GT's it will not display that correctly. The screen is all messed up, not distorted, it is just crazy looking when I try and use that setup. Is there anything that I can do to be able to use that resolution, because I'm using 1024 x768 right now and dont really care for it.

Any help is appreciated!

I've tried turning off the SLI and it doesn't help anything. I've tried putting the DVI connector in each of the 4 ports on the video cards and nothing there as well.

same monitor ? just different vid cards right? Did you try the latest video drivers? 84.21? try 1280x720 and see what the results are. I had a 27" that has native res of 1280 x 720 and a 30" that had native of 1280 x 768 they looked sweet even for being larger, also are you running DVI? or VGA-analog?

Correct, it is the same monitor (Philips 26PF9966). With my old computer I had a ATI x800 Pro and it did the 1280 x 768 just fine. The monitor looks incredible at that res, but now it wont' display that correctly. When I click apply that res the screen is black with white lines all over it. My monitor wont support 1280 x 720. Also I'm using DVI not VGA connection.

I dont really see how this could be a monitor problem due to it displaying it before plus that fact that 1280 x 768 is its native resolution. The video cards advertise that they will display that resolution too. I have the newest drivers that I just got today and still no luck.

true , not doubting your monitor here. I am stumped , short of being a bad card , did you swap slots with the vid cards and try running single display off of the other card?

I tried that with each card with no difference. I at a loss right now on what to try, short of just settling for the 1024 x 768.
