Question EVGA 980Ti Hybrid with I5-8400 PSU Peak?

Hello everybody!

I've managed to grab a wonderful EVGA 980Ti Hybrid card for an absurd value, the card is really well taken care of, I got it because the previous owner upgraded to 2080Ti, currently I'm rockin' the configuration down in my bio, I've read a few old threads about my PSU and this card, however since times move on I'm having my doubts, also I would like to ask if anyone has tested this PSU with a similar config. Is it safe to operate/game/work on it with the 8400? I'm also thinking about upgrading it, however I'm located in a third world country, and sourcing out something good is kinda hard in the PSU section. I know it may be repetative however before placing this card in my configuration I've researched the card and it's peak wattage, I've found some tech reviews from 2016 for this exact model of the card and it would seem it peaks around 350W, I've calculated my PC's wattage consumption excluding my 580 ofcourse, and the total amount actually peaks around 520W, since I'm a bit of scaredy cat I thought to ask you guys?
 
Well, you are going from an 185W GPU to a 250W GPU.

Those peaks are probably regarding overclocking. That might be a bad idea with a 520W supply. If you go with stock, you are looking at 400W or so max load.

Of course the maximum is making the assumption the CPU and GPU will be under 100% load. That should be difficult to achieve in practice.

That puts you solidly at the 80% maximum recommended load on the supply when you selecting one.

I think it will be fine as long as the power supply is newer than 5 years or so. If it is older, then you probably don't want to risk it and should look for a decent 650W supply.

I'm not going to overclock at the moment, I'm actually thinking about upgrading the PSU in the near months. I'm mainly going to game for the time being and do net activities. The PSU is a year and a little old from brand new. I'm definetely going to upgrade to gold standart though, and again Seasonic, I'm really happy with this one every rail is pretty much 95 or more percent accurate in power delivery.
