EVGA 980Ti Reference Cooler or ACX 2.0

I know the coolers make the difference, but what one would be recommended for my NZXT Phantom with 1 120mm rear exhaust, 200mm side intake, x2 120mm HDD intakes, and a corsair h105 exhausting out the top? Would the reference cooler perform better or the ACX? (Temperature wise)

The ACX cooler tends to be a little better than stock, although NVidia has been improving their blower designs over time.

Well I'm looking to see what would be best to go into my case knowing that the ACX does blow some of the heat back into the case rather than all out the back.

With a Phantom case, I don't think you'll be having any problems using an open ACX cooler.

Okay, and if i am to get the ACX, should i switch the 200mm side intake to an exhaust to counter the additional heat getting blown in? Or will it not really matter

I prefer to have positive pressure maintained to reduce amount of dust buildup, but if you are fine with cleaning out your parts every so often, go ahead and switch it to exhaust. Not sure how much difference it will make, really.

It's fine to keep your case as is and the card runs cool. Well, my 980 with that cooler does. Don't know why the Ti wouldn't as well.
