Hello, I am currently working on a new build, and am working with an aio for the first time.
Unfortunately, the fact that the aio I bought (evga clc 240mm) uses a USB 2.0 header slipped past me. My motherboard (asus h270i) of course does not have a USB 2.0 pin.
The aio only uses 4 pins from the USB header, so I tried plugging it into the AIO_PUMP header on my motherboard. This seems to allow the pump to function slightly, while booting the system the LEDS on the pump turn on and the fans spin, however seconds later the LEDs begin to flicker and turn off and the fans spin faster and faster until I kill the power.
I have the two fans connected to one CPU_FAN header on the motherboard, and no other fans plugged in at this time.
I do not know what steps I should take now, or if this is normal behavior. Thanks for reading!
