evga geforce gt 640 crashing games

hi i just recently did my own build with an amd fx 8120 prcosesor 8gb ram, 550 power supply, asus mobo and a nvidia geforce gt 640
everything works but everytime i run games i can play for a min before the game crashes to the desktop and on the side it saying driver stop responding and has recovered
can anyone help with this if its a faulty graphics card since im starting to give up and want to 100% sure if the card is fautly or its a driver issue

well thats a relatively low powered card, so it shouldn't be a wattage issue. how are the temps? have you tried reloading drivers?

if the temps are ok, and the drivers have been reloaded, i would say its most likely a bad card.

temps are ok ive installed reinstalled everything for the card same problems plus i kno its the card cuz everytime the game crashes the video card has a loud fan noise as if its overheating or something
so since its a bad card i could proberly bring it back for something better or ge and amd thats the equvalent to the gt 640

yes i would bring the card back. a few bucks more can get you a hd 7770, i would recommend that.
