EVGA GeForce GTX 580 DS OC cooler replacement

Hi guys,

I have a EVGA GeForce GTX 580 DoubleShot Superclocked graphics card which overheats quite a lot under high loads. The temperatures sometimes reach 97°C (or even more) at which point the safety system kicks in and cuts the voltage in half, reducing the performance quite badly. Replacing the thermal paste on the chip didn't help at all, but I noticed that the heat sink is... well, to put it gently, very crappy.

I am looking to replace the whole cooler with a better one, but I am not sure which one to choose and which one actually fits my card. I am looking for a relatively cheap, but good air cooler. I thought of buying a defective GTX580 and get the parts I need, but I don't know if the cooler from a different manufacturer would fit on the EVGA card.

Both cards will have you playing around with Thermal Paste quite a bit. Just make sure to take precautions against static discharge and you should be fine.
