Hey guys,

So i just got a 1080 ti from EVGA and had some questions; So I noticed upon playing Fortnite at ultra everything (please dont judge lol) 144 fps cap at 1080p, that the temperatures were reaching 78c around I believe 75-80% fan usage. So i decided to change the fan curve to 95% when it hits
70c and 100 when it hits 75c.

Now the temperatures are hanging right around 70-72c. I then decided to take the side panels off and noticed that it runs right around 60c. It also appears that my i7-7700 non K has also increased in temperature since the 1080 ti up grade from about 70c to 76c.

I guess my question is as follows: is it normal for the EVGA Black edition SC 1080 ti to put out this much heat? I came from an ASUS Strix 1070 so i guess im not used to this much power maybe.

Next question: Since I have a beefier GPU now does that mean i may need a better air flow case?

Specs:
i7-7700 non k
CPU Cooler: Cryorig H7
MoBo: Asus B250M-A
PSU: 650W Rosewill Gaming 80 plus gold
GPU: EVGA GTX 1080 ti SC Black Edition
Case: MasterBox Lite 5 ATX Mid Tower
Case Fans: 3x 120mm Front intake fans; 1x 120 mm exhaust fan at rear.
Monitor: Dual setup; 24" Asus 144hz via Display Port; 24" ViewSonic 60hz via HDMI

Thanks Guys!

I have a Cooler Master - Master Case 5 Pro.....

Running 2x 140mm fans in the front (Intake) and 1x 140mm fan in the back (exhaust) and I get plenty of airflow. I did change all the fans to Noctua however. And I am air cooling the CPU with a Noctua NH D15.

It's one of the better cases for airflow on the market.

Do you recommend a good case? im not sure there is much more i can do for this one.
