I just bought and installed a EVGA gtx 570 yesterday. So far I have tested it on two games Crysis 2 and Red Orchestra 2. on RO2 it is running smooth with no trouble (as I expected). However on Crysis 2 the heat is getting a little high. It runs the game on the Ultra graphic setting at 1600x900 resolution (the highest my monitor can handle), but the temperture gets up to 89-90C.

I have read other forums and found that this temp is alright for shorter period of gaming... like an hour at a time.

My problem is I bought this for Skyrim and BF3 and I'm afraid that it will get really, really hot when I play BF3.

Is there anything I can do to lower the temp?

I have a
ACER Predator G5900
Intel i7 core processor 870
6G RAM
Win 7 home premium

the computer came with a Radeon 5570 which i swapped out for the GTX 570.

I have EVGA precision on while playing. I set it so the fan would auto change it's speed depending on the GPU's temp.

It was running the fan at 74% with the temp being 89-90C.

The good thing is the card maxed at 90C... it wouldn't go higher even during rough parts in the gaming.

Oh and I was surpised at how quite the card is!
