I've had my gpu since last summer, but about a month ago I started hearing a very high pitched and irritating noise coming from my pc. I believe it's coil whine from the gpu. Anyone else have this problem?

Coil Whine can be from anything, Motherboard, PSU, SSD, GPU, RAM, and any other part that have capacitor, Flash memory...

I suggest that you remove the GPU if you have an integrated gpu to try if that's really the GPU that is doing this...

You need to rma your card as one more inductors are bad and eventually the card will fail. They used very low quality inductors but they are easily replaced but the vast majority of people couldn't pour piss out of a boot. The 680 uses R22/30 rated inductors but they are surface mounted so if you repair the card the original cooler likely won't fit especially if you used the higher quality but rather bulky models that Gigabyte often used. If done and done right the card's overall overclocking would improve along with stability.

R22-R30 Ferrite core with plastic shield (these coils rarely squeal).
