I am going to install an EVGA nVidia GeForce GTX 780 SC into my HP Z600 workstation.
This card is on the Adobe approved list as compatible with After Effects CC 2015.

I boutgh the card used.

There is a six pin lead off of the PSU . But this card seems to also need an 8 pin power feed as well.
Documentation that came with it is generic. No detailed online diagrams or specs are found.
The Z600 is very different and heavy duty compared to other computers. It has many power connectors on the board. The PSU actually plugs into the board in a different way.

I would appreciate any knowledgeable help in finding proper power for the 8 pin connector.
But please, if you are not familiar with the Z600 assumptions based on other computers will not help

I appreciate your looking. And any help will be greatly appreciated.

Actually, I am familiar with it. It has a proprietary power supply that can't be swapped with a regular ATX style. That means you have to live with it.

Since it doesn't have an 8-pin PCIe cable coming from the PSU, you can use spare Molex connectors and an adapter such as the one I linked to "make" such a connection. The power supply should be sufficient to power the GPU.

What is there not to understand?
