I've only recently come across the term "business monitor" and I'd like to have an idea of what such monitors are like in other applications.

Right now I'm looking at an ad for MSI Pro MP275Q. The specs are: IPS panel, 1mS response, 2560x1440, 100Hz, 100% sRGB, 1.07B colours, 1300:1 contrast. It's available in my country for the equivalent of about US$150. General-purpose 27-inch FHD monitors start from around $110.

Based on these specs, is it likely to be good for video editing and gaming? By "good", I mean compared to non-business inexpensive QHD monitors.

my country
Where would this country be on the Atlas?

Business Monitors;
Productivity apps/tasks like word processing/Excel spreadsheets/reading articles/researching
Kiosks/Point of Sales/Outlets
Day trading/Data analysis

Based on these specs, is it likely to be good for video editing and gaming? By "good", I mean compared to non-business inexpensive QHD monitors.
If the video editing tasks you're supposed to be doing is meant to put food on the table and a roof over your head, then you should invest in a panel that's been properly color calibrated from the factory, one such monitor is the ProArt series of monitors, they aren't cheap monitors but it's a monitor any content creator who needs to maintain color accuracy will want to buy. To also mention, you're asking if an apple is the same as an orange, they aren't. A business pedigree monitor will cost cheaper than what a studio professional would be using.

That should be a segue way to asking you, what sort of apps will you be using to do video editing? Games you'd like to tax the monitor with?

If the tasks you do are for your own consumption, then pick any monitor that doesn't shred your wallet.

When I think business monitors I usually think of the cheapest panel that is fit for purpose. The most common I see are 24" 1080p 60hz IPS panels with relatively poor brightness and color accuracy.

Professional displays are more in line with what Lutfij is talking about and more closely aligned with what the MP275Q is.

I can't give you figures on how well it performs when it comes to ghosting, but its general 100hz stat say it shouldn't be too bad in that regard.

I have no intention of buying this monitor. I don't game or edit videos either. I design electronics. My question was asked out of academic interest, to gain background knowledge that might become useful later.

Definitions of a business monitor on the internet include sharp images and accurate color reproduction. Speed is probably not a priority but 1mS response and 100Hz refresh rate aren't too shabby. I know enthusiastic gamers who are happy with 60 or 75Hz.

I asked here because reading a static page is not the same as interacting with others in a forum.

Well, if you can find me a monitor that claims anything other than a sharp, clear, etc image I will be amazed.

But as mentioned I equate business with more mundane tasks. Professional displays is what I would use to refer to color accurate displays.

You can certainly do worse. 32" 1080p is pretty terrible for anything but long distance viewing. Color inaccuracy is very common, with a heavy blue shift, on cheaper panels. IPS is no longer that special, but they still manufacture TN panels with little off axis viewing being possible.

Honestly the 5ms+ displays have more or less disappeared when it comes to new products. There are a few places still pumping out old 5:4 TN panels for PoS systems. I can't recall the last time I saw a 14ms display or anything along those lines. I see a few on the market, but they look like refurbs of old panels, rather than new products.
