Hello, i just bought an EVGA SC Gtx 980 after few days of using i have noticed my idle temp go around 55 to 60 which are suppose to be around 30 to 50 max when fan are not spinning , i read some on forums that lowering the voltage can help me with that but i dont know how to do that any other help will be appreciated. Thank you

overall 50-55 CPU under load and 75 max Under Load playing PUBG high preset Fan profile auto but around nothing just light weight work like browsing idle temps go around 55-60

I've noticed that memory clock has highest impact on GPU temp when in idle or browsing. If it's set at 1620 Mhz, temps will be around 35-50, if it's set to 7000 Mhz, temps will go past 60 and then fans kick in. Also temps will be cca 10 C higher then "normal", if you're using multiple monitor setup.

im no using a single monitor setup and as you are suggesting should i turn down the memory clock?

If you want lower temps in idle, yes. But there's nothing wrong with 55 to 60 C temps in idle, your GPU can handle it easily. My old AMD HD6870 idled at 60 C for 10 years no prob (with 5 displays attached). My temps on GTX 1050 ti are hitting 57 C when browsing heavily. It only bothers me if temp hits 60 as fans kick in. So nothing to worry about. You can also open case, if you want lower idle temps.

Already Opened the case now HW monitor shows 45 right now will check all day tomorrow,on idle, i changed some settings from nvidia to Optimal Power and in windows setting went with balanced rather than high Performance
