They would call the board by the chipset (Nforce2 board) or possibly the socket/slot and chipset maker (VIA socket 7 board) which is same thing we do now. If someone asks you what kind of motherboard you have now, you wouldn't say Intel or AMD. You'd say you have an X570 motherboard or Z490 motherboard.
OK, I can agree with you. We call board by socket and chipset name.
Then why is the article title saying AMD motherboard? Isn't this utter rubbish?
