Correct yes. I believe EVGA is using custom PCBs, but can't confirm. I don't know of any AIB partners who are using the actual reference spec of the RTX 3080.

The 3080 Founders Edition isn't the reference design. The AIB partners are almost all using the actual reference board design, which is a full-length card.

We'll have to wait a bit more to see more custom designs, like smaller ones designed for ITX systems. Actually, for them, the 3080 Founders Edition would actually work well given that it's one of the shorter boards at 285mm.
